“ I wanted something to live and die for. I wanted something to breathe and to bleed for.
I’m not interested in trying to figure out ways to make my life safe and preserve my comfort.” Derek Loux

Each month, we will be focusing our prayer on the fatherless in a particular nation. For the month of July, we are praying for the fatherless in Russia every Friday at 6:00am in the IHOPKC Global Prayer Room, and we want you to join your prayer with ours! We want a corporate body to go before the Lord carrying this nation in our hearts and petitions. You can join us at ihopkc.org, where the prayer room is broadcasted live, 24/7. Watch now »
About Children at Risk in Russia*
Over 700,000 orphans live in Russia, increasing at the rate of 113,000 per year. UNICEF estimates that 95 percent of these children are social orphans, meaning that they have at least one living parent who has given them up to the state. The number of orphanages in Russia has increased by more than 100 percent in the last decade, and approximately 15,000 children leave these orphanages each year, usually at the age of 16 or 17. During the last 10 years, the population of children in Russia has decreased by four million, and 64 percent of pregnancies end in abortion (christiantelegraph.com). 617,000 Russian children are disabled; only 15–20 percent of newborns are considered healthy.
