If  you will allow the Lord to move your heart for the orphan from His Word, or you want to learn how to pray for the Orphan’s this is the book for you!  Filled with scripture and insight, I have been using it regularly to fuel my prayer times for the orphan.

The Father has the needs, concerns, longings, and afflictions of every little one continually before him. Every single inclination of his heart and every single thought towards them is for their good. These thoughts are full of hope, life, joy, destiny, kindness, peace, strength and comfort. As we draw near to God, he shares his heart with us and our hearts begin to feel what he feels for the fatherless. As we hear his heart we learn to esteem what he esteems as valuable. Jesus said, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest” (Luke 9:48).

We must see and feel for the “least of these” like our Father does. This is only possible through
relationship with him, which is established through prayerful meditation on His word. In order to have his thoughts, we need a transformation of the mind. Colossians 3:10 tells us to, “Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.” Jesus warns us, “Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father” (Matt 18:10).

It is his will that his heart be demonstrated to the little ones. It is his design that his heart would be imparted through the Body of Christ. The little ones are designed with a need to see and feel the Father’s heart towards them. This requires more than a fun visit now and then and a filling of their tummies. It means day–to-day, life-on-life, sacrificial loving through the Holy Spirit. When the Body of Christ truly esteems what he esteems,  the core distress in children’s hearts will be filled and satisfied with his love. These children are esteemed through the highest ranks of heaven. Their angels are continually before the Father’s face. It is in his heart that the destiny, calling, beauty and unique character of each little one grow and prosper in all the fullness of God.
When the Body of Christ truly esteems what God esteems, the core distress in children’s hearts will be filled and satisfied with his love. It is my prayer, as you read through Strength of the King, that you join with us in prayer and deeds to see oppressed children rescued and restored.
